You know what people don’t tell you about when you have kids?

How badly it really is when they are sick.  Not: “I have a cold” sick, but “there’s nothing you can do to help them” sick.

You are helpless as your baby whines and clutches himself. Poor kid. Watch a movie, take a nap, have a popsicle, nap, dinner, bath, bed.

My sweet baby boy had his first ear infection on a Wednesday. The following week, we were back in the minute clinic to diagnose a gnarly rash and high fever. Amoxicillin. An allergic reaction.

The little Peach was in the minute clinic Friday, first ear infection. Amoxicillin. By Tuesday, small red bumps were beginning to appear. Luckily, we stopped her medication early enough with no huge ordeals.

On top of everything, the Husband was working hard all week. And, I was diagnosed Tuesday with an ear infection, sinus infection, and strep. Prescribed Amoxicillin. Oh Geez.

It was a hard week. A really hard week. I am grateful that it’s Monday. A new week. Welcome.
